Ela Minus is a Colombia-born singer, songwriter, producer and performer. After studying jazz drums and music synthesis at Berklee College of Music, Ela went on to test, assemble and design synthesisers. Her love of synths evolved to become the bedrock of her musical output. Her critically-acclaimed debut album, “acts of rebellion”, released on Domino Records, was one of the albums of the pandemic and a BBC Radio 6 A-List staple. The album won the attention of artists like Four Tet and Caribou, the latter inviting her to support him on the North America leg of his tour. Ela performed show-stopping live shows at the likes of Coachella; Primavera Sound and Estereo Picnic. In 2022, Ela’s ‘♡ EP’ — made in collaboration with DJ Python — was released and received End of Year critic poll support from the likes of Pitchfork; The Guardian; Resident Advisor and Crack. Ela has recently performed for fashion houses such as Chanel, Miu Miu and Prada, and completed her own BBC Radio 1 Residency show.
