Daft Punk: #1 in the UK Top 40 Singles Chart

Daft Punk's new single 'Get Lucky', has surged to the top position in the UK Top 40 Singles Chart, giving the French duo their first ever #1. With Pharrell Williams on vocals, and legendary Chic founder Nile Rodgers on guitar and production duties, this looks like being one of the biggest records of the year. The new album 'Random Access Memories' is released on 21st May.

It's been quite a month for Primary / Decked Out artists in the Singles Chart with Duke Dumont's 'Need U (100%)' also having occupied the #1 position, for two weeks.

Scottish Album of the Year Award Nominees

The Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Award is a new arts prize developed by the Scottish Music Industry Association to celebrate, promote and reward the most outstanding albums released by Scottish artists.

The first prize is £20,000, with nine runner-up prizes of £1,000 and an Art Commission valued at £20,000. The award will be made at a ceremony at Glasgow's Barrowlands on 20th June. Primary artists Django Django are nominated in the long list:
