Half Moon Run: Sign to Glassnote Records

New York, NY- Glassnote Entertainment Group is excited to introduce the newest addition to the independent label's roster with the global signing of Montreal based band, Half Moon Run.

Half Moon Run is vocalist/guitarist/drummer Devon Portielje, vocalist / guitarist / keyboardist Conner Molander and keyboardist / vocalist / drummer Dylan Phillips. Together, the trio writes unique songs with complex arrangements -- fusing together restless elements of indie, rock and folk and combining rhythmic harmonies with delicate guitar lines and a hint of warm electronica. After seeing Half Moon Run's incendiary live show in Montreal, Brooklyn Vegan described: "the Montreal trio match songwriting (and harmonies) of '60's folk rock with the atmospherics of Radiohead... instantly impressed."

Half Moon Run has spent the past six months touring the world with the likes of Metric in North America, Patrick Watson in the UK and Europe, as well as playing festivals such as Iceland Airways and Inrocks Festival in Paris. Half Moon Run is currently preparing to release their album 'DARK EYES' in the United States on Glassnote Records.

Half Moon Run will make their return to US soil for the 2013 SXSW Music Festival in March. Full details on confirmed shows will be announced shortly.

Ron Sexsmith: Free Download 'She Does My Heart Good'

A new Ron Sexsmith original song 'She Does My Heart Good' will be made available as a free download from www.ronsexsmith.com on 10th Dec '12 at 3pm GMT. The beautifully realised simple love song was one of the first to be written for Ron's new Mitchell Froom produced album 'Forever Endeavour' which is released on Feb 4, 2013 on Cooking Vinyl.

Says Ron: "It's pretty much a straight-up love song about the wonderful effect another person can have on your mental state."

'Forever Endeavour' is Ron's 12th studio album and features another batch of deftly poetic, gently affecting songs that perfectly distil the pitfalls of being human.

Ron will play his biggest show to date when he headlines London's Royal Albert Hall on 7th March '13.

    Two Fingers: Dj Mag Cover

Amon Tobin as his alter-ego Two Fingers is the cover star of this month's DJ Mag.

Amon Tobin presents the next brutalist masterpiece wired up under his Two Fingers guise, 'Vengeance Rhythm'. A low-slung exercise in violence, brooding power and pure production smarts, in the words of a recent Resident Advisor feature, it's "a little like dubstep built on an interplanetary scale."
