Few people have been as active as Pedro Winter aka BUSY P in French dance music. Pedro Winter's journey in music began in 1992 when he discovered the underground Paris Rave scene. He developed a passion for DJing and electronic music, which eventually led him to become one of the most influential DJ, manager, producer, and record label executive in France.

At the age of 20 in the mid ‘90s, he launched his own parties « Hype ». The enthusiastic teenager quickly became a mascot for the nascent Parisian house scene. His growing popularity and network led him to organise events at Folie's Pigalle and then Le Palace at the request of a certain David Guetta. This party became the favorite place for Paris new scene to express itself, Dimitri from Paris, Daft Punk, Dj Gregory, Motorbass, Bob Sinclar, they all shared the decks of this tiny 300 capacity club, the birth of the French Touch.

Pedro Winter's career took a significant turn when he became the manager of Daft Punk in 1996, a role that catapulted him into the spotlight of the international music scene. His close association with Daft Punk not only helped elevate their careers but also provided him with invaluable experience and connections in the industry. During those 12 years of collaboration, Pedro witnessed the magic as the closest confidant of the most secretive electronic duo in history.

In 2003, Pedro Winter founded his own record label, Ed Banger records. In the history of dance music, there are very few labels that have generated as much noise as Ed Banger Records.The label has been instrumental in launching the careers of numerous artists, including global superstars Justice, maverick audio butchers SebastiAn and Mr Oizo, the nu-disco maestro Breakbot, the electro pop siren Uffie and the regretted Dj Mehdi, among others. The label's distinctive sound and aesthetic have made it a cornerstone of the French electronic music movement. There’s no denying that the Parisian imprint has redefined the sound and image of modern electronic music.

Under the moniker BUSY P, he has released several acclaimed EPs and singles, showcasing his love for repetitive beats and loops. His classic « Rainbow Man » ended up as a synch hit, being used by Calvin Klein and Google. « To Protect & Entertain » featuring Murs was an ode to Los Angeles nightlife in 2008. This song is considered today as one of the milestone of the Bloghaus movement. His latest single c-produced with the late DJ Mehdi « MPC 2021 » featuring Santigold and French MC Benjamin Epps appears in Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton campaign.

His DJ sets are known for their energetic and eclectic blend of electronic genres, ranging from house and techno to hip-hop and electro. BUSY P performed in all the most respected clubs of the planet and major festivals : Sonar, Coachella, We Love Green, Melt, Fuji Rock, Ultra, Dour, Creamfields, etc… BUSY P played B2B with a wide range of DJs including Erol Alkan, Chloé, A-Trak, Boys Noize, James Murphy, Heidi, Laurent Garnier …

Aside from his work as a DJ and label manager, BUSY P is also highly respected as a music producer and remixer. He has collaborated with various artists and musicians, infusing his trademark sound into their tracks and projects. His remixography includes Django Django, Confidence Man, Riton, Sinkane, Drop the Lime, Dj Hell, Hey Today! & more.

Pedro Winter's contributions to the electronic music scene have earned him widespread recognition and respect both in France and internationally. He was named « Chevalier des Arts & des Lettres » by French minister of culture in 2016. His influence extends beyond his own music, as he continues to shape and support the careers of emerging artists through Ed Banger Records.
