2023 saw Kneecap play triumphant sold-out shows at London’s Electric Ballroom, two shows at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre and headline a US tour which culminated with a sold-out show at New York’s Bowery Ballroom. In the summer the Irish rap trio signed to revered independent record label Heavenly Recordings and announced details of their Toddla T produced debut single for Heavenly Recordings, ‘Better Way To Live’ which is a collaboration with Fontaines D.C. 's superconductor frontman Grian Chatten, who brings a louche and ruffled charm to Kneecap's relentless and addictive bounce.

The band kick-started the new year with the world premiere of ‘KNEECAP’ the feature film at this year's Sundance Film Festival’s opening night on Thursday 18th January. ‘The Kneecap biopic film’ is written and directed by Rich Peppiatt (‘One Rogue Reporter’) and stars Michael Fassbender.

The trio head back to the US this spring for SXSW and a headline tour as well as playing festivals across the UK and Europe. With news of their Toddla T produced album imminent… “2024 has Kneecap's name on it..” - The Metro -

A frighteningly articulate rap group from Belfast, Kneecap seamlessly merge Irish with English, satire with socially conscious lyrics, and reality with absurdity. Theirs is a voice which comes screaming from the too-often deprived areas of the North of Ireland, speaking in a language which is too-often ignored. It makes for a suitably electrifying and unique blend of “explosive delivery, graphic humour and unrelenting charm (that’s) reminiscent of early Eminem” (LA Times).

Kneecap are Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap, and DJ Próvaí. Their first release - 2017’s C.E.A.R.T.A - was banned from Irish radio station RTÉ due to ‘drug references and cursing’. The ban in no way influenced the band’s future output.
