For Brisbane based Harry Hope, better known as Odd Mob, there are no limits in sight as he goes from strength to strength with every innovative production. Developing a flair for identifying unique sounds, he has become known for his ability to diversify across genres, emphasising the unconventional. Spending years meticulously honing his craft, Odd Mob has firmly planted himself at the forefront of the global electronic music’s future.
Odd Mob broke through with the ubiquitous 2014 track ‘Is It A Banger’, a track that resonated with Australian listeners, charting in triple j’s ‘Hottest 100’ and has since amassed over 8 million streams across platforms. The boundary-pushing producer showed no signs of slowing down, subsequently releasing tracks ‘Intrinsic’, ‘Lithium’, ‘LEFT TO RIGHT” and most recently ‘Losing Control’ which saw Odd Mob surpass well over 40 million streams across platforms.
2023 saw the release of ‘XTC’, as well as an official remixes for the likes of Hayden James, Martin Solveig, Jax Jones & D.O.D . From remakes, vocal tracks, remixes, and right through to his original productions Odd Mob is non-stop flexing his production prowess. With a genre-defying catalogue of songs, he has given back to his audience fashioning bootlegs under his Oddities brand, which have amassed millions of plays. Constantly pushing boundaries in his expertly crafted creations has earnt Odd Mob the support of a plethora of industry heavyweights including the likes of Diplo, DJ Snake, Jauz, Oliver Heldens, Eats Everything, Fatboy Slim, Don Diablo, Tiesto, and Disclosure.
Odd Mob’s 2022 single ‘LEFT TO RIGHT’ was a huge leap back into the spotlight with a slew of AAA tastemaker support from the likes of Skrillex, Fred Again.., Dom Dolla, Disclosure, Diplo, Chris Lake, Tiesha, Salute, ACRAZE, and John Summit, to name a few, all showcasing this record in their sets all of last year and into 2023. ‘LEFT TO RIGHT’ is based around portions of the Soulja Boy cult classic ‘Crank That’ which has had the blessing and sign off from Soulja Boy himself.
Following on from where he left off, the final single for the year ‘Losing Control’ has been his biggest moment so far, skyrocketing to the top of the Beatport charts in the first few days of release and a whopping 1.5 Million streams in the two weeks of release across all platforms, released on John Summit’s Experts Only imprint.
2023 has been Odd Mob’s biggest year so far; already having returned to North America for countless back to back tours across March/April/May/July/September and November into December, Odd Mob has been playing all major cities, alongside performances at the likes of EDC, Coachella, Hard Summer, Shambhala, Sunset Music Festival and has just been announced to play at the BMO Stadium alongside John Summit and Mau P on Dec 16th. Not stopping there, Odd Mob was also named 42nd in the 2023 1001 Tracklist Top 100 Producer poll.
