Places+Faces began in 2013 when Ciesay spent his summer in New York city talking his way into hip hop shows and photographing the artists in their prime element.

Whilst Ciesay was busy in New York, Soulz was back in London taking photos of the culture, concerts and music artists over there. Once they had a good body of work they then created a Tumblr account to house their many pictures. P+F began as a way for Ciesay and Soulz to document the culture they’re a part of, travel the work and have fun whilst doing so. Thus, Places+Faces - UK’s lifestyle, music and photography brand was born.

Whilst Places+Faces worked on building up their brand, they received many opportunities to host P+F parties, pop-up shops and exhibitions in Tokyo, Seoul, Milan, Paris, Los Angeles, Toronto, Hong Kong and many more places around the world. Which consequently, made Places+Faces a more worldwide brand and allowed them to reach a wider audience in doing so. Over the years Places+Faces events/dj collective (+sounds) have toured all around the world playing in many places. the parties have become synonymous with guest appearances and sets from celebrities such as Virgil Abloh, Skepta, Playboi Carti, Heron Preston, Kenny Beats, Goldlink, Giggs, Kohh, AJ Tracey, Dipset and many more.

As a music act +sounds have played at major festivals such as Camp Flog Gnaw, Woo Hah!, Splash, Wireless and Parklife to crowds ranging between 3,000 to 20,000. Places+Faces have also curated stages for London’s festival, Lovebox, where we had acts such as buddy, take a day trip, and Tion Wayne. +sounds have been on tour as supporting acts for Amine and Playboi Carti.
