    Booking Request

    2012 has been a big year to date for Ellie and Louise Macnamara aka Heathers, having recorded their second album with White Lies' producer Max Dingel and signing a global deal with Universal Music Publishing UK.

    Their debut album 'Here, Not There' garnered widespread acclaim internationally amongst both fans and media alike for its unique melodic hooks and extraordinary vocals. The album achieved Gold sales status in Ireland and received a further boost when they had one of their songs placed on a major advertising campaign. The track in question was called the "soundtrack to the Irish summer" by one of Ireland's best known radio presenters.

    The success of that debut album resulted in two summer length tours in the USA, which developed into further invites to perform at CMJ festival in New York, Canadian Music Week in Toronto, as well as European festivals such as Eurosonic, The Great Escape, Camden Crawl, Oxygen and Belsonic. Most recently they played as part of HMV UK's Next Big Thing, performed two brilliantly-received shows at Camden Crawl Festival and also drew a huge crowd when they headlined London's Barfly in May.

    "an inspiringly simple and singularly brilliant record" State Magazine

    "The new single from thesetwo Dublin sisters is agloriously upbeatslice of nostalgia.Itsburning, urgent poignancy, dual vocals andcatchy harmonyaim straight for the heart,but avoid cliche. In fact, Heathers, like the film they're named after, are full of their own marvellous idiosyncracies." Music Week UK

    Heathers Sign To Warner Music Germany

    Following on from the success of 'Forget Me Knots' from their Choice Music nominated 2nd album 'Kingdom', Heathers are continuing their international rise and have now signed a deal with Warner Music Germany for the whole of Central Europe which will include releasing the new album in Germany, Austria, Switzerland & Poland. This follows on from the girls' recent signing to Sony Music Canada in March and is part of their on-going campaign to release 'Kingdom' worldwide, continuing to build a solid fan-base internationally this year.

    Commenting on the deal, Louise and Ellie said;
    "We are absolutely thrilled about this deal with Warner Music Germany and are very excited about getting out to promote and tour 'Kingdom' in Europe this year. Some of the recent shows we've had around Europe have been extremely encouraging so we're hopeful that 'Kingdom' will be a great success in those countries and further afield".

    Heathers music has featured on 90210 on CBS in the US at the end of last year. This followed other placements on the very successful US TV show 'Mob Wives' on VHI, as well as 'The Voice', 'X Factor', 'Waterloo Road' and various other TV shows in the UK.

    Recently the band were invited to L.A. to perform at the Pre-Oscars party hosted by Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams - Interviewed in last week's Irish Mail on Sunday, J.J. Abrams said "this year, Dublin band, Heathers played (at the pre-Oscars party) and my daughter is just nuts about them. We haven't stopped listening to them since."

    The band's new single 'Lions, Tigers, Bears' is also out now in Ireland and available for download.
