'Dangerous' has only been available on a limited 45 from Stones Throw, and can now be heard in its full extended studio cut glory. Also featured is the 'They Don't Know' original mix, which was just recently put out by Timmion on a 7". Only Real: New Single 'Cadillac Girl'
'Cadillac Girl' is the latest single (released 12th May) from Only Real, aka young west Londoner Niall Galvin, and his first since signing to Virgin EMI in the UK and Harvest Records in the US (home to BANKS and Death Grips among others).
It's brilliant, swirling psychedelic pop, with woozy guitar lines perfectly complemented by Niall's unique delivery. It's lo-fi and real, casual and loose, mixed with a real confidence.
'Cadillac Girl' was produced by Ben Allen at his studio in Atlanta. He has previously worked with Animal Collective, Deerhunter, Cee-Lo Green and Washed Out amongst others. 'Cadillac Girl' follows his previous release, 'Days In the City' EP, which was released last year on LuvLuvLuv Records.
Only Real will be appearing at Field Day in June, as well as a handful of headline shows across the country in April and May.

PillowTalk: New Album 'Je Ne Sais Quoi'
Following EPs and 12"s on Wolf + Lamb, W+L Black, Life And Death, Bang The Box and their debut on Visionquest, PillowTalk present their debut LP, 'Je Ne Sais Quoi'. As much a soundtrack to long nights as it is lazy days, there is something about the record that spans everything you want from the band: sun-splashed jams, peak-time party tunes and low-lit moments of intimacy.
The album has been a work in progress since the boys formed the group in their San Francisco studio and was recorded last year during a month at PDX Studios in Portland, Oregon, which sits overlooking the city and the gorgeous Mount Hood. It was a session that allowed the band to work communally, drawing from various ideas, as well as influences, which include the vast Americana of Bruce Springsteen, the wrought post dubstep of James Blake, the deep soul of Sam Cooke and the incendiary jazz of John Coltrane.
'We All Have Rhythm' is an anything-could-happen-tonight tune that you'll want to be listening to at 11pm on a Friday; 'Lullaby' is the perfect dose of deepness for a loved-up 6am dancefloor; the off-kilter R&B ghetto tech of '4 Walls' will fit the vibe at a woozy afterparty; and 'LA To The Bay' will rouse you and make you feel good the morning after as the sun comes up. This is music to suit all times, because that's what PillowTalk is all about.
The broad nature of 'Je Ne Sais Quoi' came about because Sammy D (vocals), Michael Tello (producer) and Ryan Williams (multi-instrumentalist) pulled the record together from melodies thought up while on long plane journeys, impromptu jam throw downs in Berlin apartments and musical sketches created during long nights into early morning studio sessions sharing bottles of vodka. For instance, '4 Walls' happened during a late night session, with the band throwing ideas around and with friends DOP and Navid Izadi. "We wanted to do something that wasn't a 122bpm 4/4 kick drum track, challenge ourselves musically and lyrically, so we made the song at 144 beats per minute but still gave it a soul vibe," says Michael. The song took an hour and a half to write, whipped up in the heat and energy of the moment.
This organic way of working was what brought PillowTalk together in the first place. They formed after the three were mucking around on the baby grand piano in Ryan's kitchen. A guitar and a Wurlitzer, some off-hand vocals, were thrown into the mix in true Doo-wop style. The EP, 'The Come Back', dropped on Life And Death in 2011 with their hit single 'Soft' and things started to roll.
Breakout hit 'Far From Home' on the 'Far From Heaven' EP in the same year was followed by the cheeky 'Soul Edits' 12" for Wolf + Lamb's W+L Black imprint in 2012 which featured their classic remix of Bobby Hebb's, 'Sunny'. Then in 2013, the single 'Lullaby' backed with 'We All Have Rhythm' dropped, giving a clear indication of how 'Je Ne Sais Quoi' would sound: warm, lush and dreamy.
Though they've only been releasing records since 2011, the three have known each other for years. They met through djing parties and have been neighbors and even roommates. 'Je Ne Sais Quoi' sees them stepping into their own as a band, a statement of intent born from the highs and lows of their loves, laughs and heartbreaks thus far.

Phaeleh: 'Slumber Session' for iD Magazine
Phaeleh has provided a special 'Slumber Session' mix for iD Magazine.
"This Slumber Session mix gave me a great opportunity to make a playlist of something I would want to listen to when unwinding, or to just fall asleep to. I wanted it to be able to exist in the background, without focus, whilst at the same time having elements of detail and beauty scattered amongst the layers of sound unravelling as the mix progresses."
"In some ways you can think of it as a soundtrack to a dream. There are moments of calm flowing smoothly into more abstract sections. Textures build to go from sparse emotive landscapes to darker, brooding moments of tension. I wanted it to be dynamic, taking in a variety of styles and influences, whilst giving the listener a coherent experience and painting some interesting images in their minds."
"It also gave me the chance to put in a lot of unreleased tracks of mine. I make a wide variety of styles outside of my normal output, so it was great to have an outlet for some of that material. There are also a lot of field recordings I've made over the last few years throughout the mix, including some from my travels. The opening section of music features the sounds of walks in Sydney and San Francisco, which at the time was just some subconscious grabbing of sound recordings without any kind of artistic purpose - it just sounded cool at the time. It seemed fitting when I realised where the sounds were from, as the mix would have been the perfect playlist for a lot of my sleep deprived travels."
"I ended up getting so involved putting together this mix that there's a lot of live tweaks of outboard reverb and delay units layered on certain tracks to try and get the sense of space I wanted to achieve and give the mix some breathing space. I find that ambient music can be incredibly beautiful and achieve the range of emotions other music can. I hope that you enjoy the musical selection and can immerse yourself in it, even with the emphasis away from the hooks and rhythms of traditional electronic dance music.""

Archive: 'Axiom' at The Roundhouse
Archive's film 'Axiom' will receive it's world premier at the London Sundance Film Festival on Friday 25th April. The band will also be performing the album live to accompany the film at a one-off worldwide exclusive performance at the London Roundhouse on May 29th. This will be Archive's biggest UK show to date, following sold-out shows in the capital last year at Heaven and Koko, confirming their homeland is finally catching up with the band's long-standing popularity across Europe.
The film will also be shown in 5.1 surround sound in select cinemas across Europe to coincide with the album's release.
