Ghost Culture: New Video For 'Arms'
With his first two singles for Phantasy, 'Mouth' and 'Giudecca', Ghost Culture emerged from the shadows with a beautifully elusive sound - glistening yet ominous, melancholy yet melodic.
'Arms' is its own breed of electronic songwriting: a low, malevolent thrum emanating from serpentine grooves and whispered vocals, it's a record that moves entirely at its own pace, creating an atmosphere heavy with tension and mystery. The flipside 'Understand' is born from a dusty corner of the nightclub, relentlessly growing in intensity throughout, it surrounds the dancefloor in a beautiful techno sprawl.
This single, along with the forthcoming debut album released later this autumn, was co-produced and mixed with Erol Alkan between studios in two quiet corners of the city. Ghost Culture's time is here...
The limited edition clear vinyl is out now.

Mumbai Science: Free Download 'The Moon - Blow The Speakers
Mumbai Science deliver a playful, acid-inspired remake of 'The Moon - Blow the Speakers'.
Having only recently released their highly acclaimed debut album 'Deja Vu', the Belgian duo now shares one of their private festival weapons. Building on the raw, raucous synthesizers from the original, Mumbai Science add their own quirky twist in this smashing rework. The duo stripped the original track - a Belgian cult-record from early 2000 - from its retro-ish, colder components and adopted a more feminine approach. Guest vocalist April Rose (also known from 'Deja Vu') re-recorded the vocal samples. Combined with acidy basslines, loony echo's and charming arpeggios, 'Blow the Speakers' becomes somewhat more of a spiritual trip.
And seemingly, that's what Mumbai Science is after. "In times of darkness and desperate need for guidance, people have always looked up to the skies. Maybe for a sign from the gods, a divine intervention to help them find the way." explains Jonas - the taller and darker-haired of the pair, when asked what made them choose 'The Moon'.
Well, leave it to Mumbai Science to lead party people from all over the world to a new era of prosperity.Download 'The Moon - Blow the speakers (Mumbai Science Edit)' from their Soundcloud now and discover the way to Nirvana.

Mat Zo: Free Download 'The Up Down Left Right EP'
After years of planning, Mat Zo is launching his new label Mad Zoo.
Unlike most other labels, every Mad Zoo release will be available for free on Soundcloud for the first week alongside each release. The first Mad Zoo release is out now and sees an official packaging of Mat Zo's recent quirky disco-house flavoured jam Get Down 2 Get Up' (feat. The Knocks), as well as the brand new electro-breaks number 'Left To Right'.
"I've always wanted a quicker outlet for my music, so a while ago I decided to release some of my music for free on soundcloud. The only problem with this is if I want to license the track out, or even put the track on YouTube, there has to be a label structure around it. The plans for Mad Zoo had been underway for years, so I decided to use the venture as new way for me to release music quickly, yet still have infrastructure around it. I will still continue to work with other labels in the conventional way." Mat Zo

Marianne Faithfull: 'Give My Love To London' Trailer
Released on September 29 2014, Marianne Faithfull's stunning new album 'Give My Love To London' is a record of emotional extremes and the latest instalment in an outstanding musical career. In addition to the contributions of Rob Ellis, Dimitri Tikovoi and Flood, it features an impressive roll call of studio collaborators including Adrian Utley (Portishead), Brian Eno, Ed Harcourt and Warren Ellis & Jim Sclavunos (The Bad Seeds). Songwriting contributors and co-conspirators - with Marianne penning the majority of the lyrics - include Nick Cave, Roger Waters, Steve Earle, Tom McRae and Anna Calvi.
While featuring a stellar supporting cast, it is Marianne who proves the main attraction. These are songs sung from the heart and soul and from the perspective of someone who has seen and done it all. Over a fifty-year career, she has proved utterly fearless in her music and everything else besides. Five decades on, Marianne Faithfull remains a unique and compelling musical figure: adventurous in her life, adventurous in her art.
