Eelke Kleijn: Remixes Benny Benassis' 'Dance The Pain Away' Feat. John Legend
Italian electro house institution Benny Benassi tested pop waters in collaborating with Grammy Award - winning crooner John Legend last year.
The result was 'Dance the Pain Away', the first vocal single off his forthcoming album 'Back To The Pump'.
Now Rotterdam native Eelke Kleijn has given the track a smooth deep house rework built on throwback Chicago bass and shuffling hi hats. In selecting and re-arranging choice snippets of Legend's sultry voice, the Dutch producer has effectively transformed the singer into a repeated sample that perfectly the complements the remix's relaxed groove.

Kwes.: New 'Ilpix' Remix EP
When Dummy put kwes.' 'ilp.' near the top of their 'British albums that deserve Mercury nods in 2014' list, we agreed with them and imagine that Hot Chip's Joe Goddard, Tom Vek, Jeremiah Jae and patten did too.
This far-ranging crew of sonic adventurers, all friends of kwes., have graciously applied their own skills to a spread of tracks from his Warp debut. Joe Goddard turns album opener 'Purplehands' into a dizzy slow motion house jam, replete with shape-shifting electro breakdown, funhouse synths and effervescent sound effects. Tom Vek takes the baton and flips 'Rollerblades' into low-riding funk pop that brings to mind Zapp high-fiving Dam-Funk with Arthur Russell in the driver's seat.
On 'ilp.' the track 'Hives' served as a grounded instrumental centerpiece, here Jeremiah Jae jumps on the mic to transform it into a vivid autumnal art-rap hit while Warp label-mate patten wraps up the EP with a mix that could be a dub version transmitted through a malfunctioning Skype connection - in the most beautiful way.
As both a reminder of the richness of the original album and a self-contained listening experience 'ilpix.' should tide listeners over until new kwes. material surfaces in 2015.
Streaming exclusively on Dazed Digital, see link below.

Anna Calvi: Mercury Prize & Morrissey Tour
We are very pleased to announce that Anna Calvi has been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize for her critically acclaimed second album, 'One Breath'. Anna's eponymous debut album also picked up a nomination for the coveted prize in 2011.
Produced by John Congleton in Blackbox Studios, France and mixed in Dallas, Texas, USA, 'One Breath' was written in a year and recorded over a few intense weeks. 'One Breath' is a more personal record than its predecessor. Reflective and vulnerable, it strikes a balance between optimism and despair, beauty and ugliness. The fiery elements of Anna's debut remain, but 'One Breath' is more instinctive and urgent, revealing a wider spectrum of textures and emotion.
Following standout performances at Isle Of Wight, Glastonbury, Latitude and Green Man, Anna Calvi has been invited to support Morrissey for a string of his UK and European dates, including a show at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday 29th November.

Majestic will be playing the best in UKG old and new. The final hour of the show will be a different feature every week with MC sessions, huge guests and guest mixes from some of the biggest UKG artists past and present.

TC: New Single 'Everything For A Reason'
'Everything For A Reason' is the new single from super-talented singer, songwriter and D'n'B producer TC (aka Tom Casswell), his first since signing to 3Beat.
Written, sung and performed by TC, the track was mixed alongside Neil McLennan, best known for his work with The Prodigy.'Everything For A Reason' will make its debut on Radio 1 as Zane Lowe's 'Future Exclusive'. TC first grabbed mainstream attention with 'Get Down Low', a massive club mover that became a festival anthem in 2013 and was released in December of that year via Skrillex's OWSLA label. Zane Lowe made the track his 'Hottest Record', 1Xtra hammered it and Radio 1 play-listed it.
That success was followed with 'Make U Bounce' a song that TC wrote for DJ Fresh that featured Little Nikki. 'Make U Bounce' made the A-list playlist at Capital FM, Radio 1 and 1Xtra and gave TC his first Top 10 hit in the UK.
TC is also the go to remix talent for artists as diverse as Rihanna, Example, Cee Lo Green, Tinie Tempah, Daft Punk, Duke Dumont, Julio Bashmore and Disclosure. He's also collaborated with Sub-Focus and Pendulum. Most recently, TC has remixed Jess Glynne's solo debut hit 'Right Here' and supported Zomboy on his US tour.
'Everything For A Reason' is released 26th October on 3Beat Records.

B. Dolan: New Track 'Natural Born Trouble'
B. Dolan & producer Buddy Peace have just unveiled the first leak from the highly anticipated 'House Of Bees Vol.3' mixtape, ahead of this November's tour through the UK & Ireland. 'Natural Born Trouble' enlists the help of none other than the confrontational comedian Neil Hamburger for the drop, and features a snarling B. Dolan reminiscing on a lifetime of truancy.
Some people go looking for trouble, and some never have to. In 'Natural Born Trouble', Dolan let's us know the latter hasn't worked out all that bad for him.
"Behavior is modified, commodified and stopped
Everyone's an authority, amateur league cops
Informing on one another, instructed to keep watch
Deviate from the norm and walk around feeling marked,
then realize there's a freedom in being a man apart;
They can't take nothing from you when trouble is all you got."'House Of Bees Vol.3' will release this winter ahead of B. Dolan's official LP, due in the first half of 2015. Fans in England, Ireland and Scotland can get a first look at two years worth of new material this November, when Dolan will headline and be joined by a live band featuring Buddy Peace each night. Scroobius Pip and Warrenpeace will also be along for that tour, for which tickets are selling rapidly.

Buraka Som Sistema: New Album 'Buraka'
"It's not about introducing Kuduro anymore. It's not about looking back on 'Black Diamond' and how fresh it was, and it's certainly not about surrounding ourselves with bigger artists to validate our work", Branko explains.
'Buraka' is about dance music and culture. It's about five creative individuals on a personal journey through music, determined to give the world a front row seat to experience a new global lifestyle.
The motto 'From Buraka to the World', first presented on the title of their debut EP, is taking a 180 degree turn to become 'From The World to Buraka', as the group goes even deeper into their research for exciting new rhythms and genres while simultaneously developing a network of like-minded artists through their record label Enchufada. Guest appearances were kept to a minimum as Buraka recruited exclusively from within their own camp. Algerian-British songstress Yadi and Lisbon scene rising star Bison helped to shape Buraka's zouk bass sound into a modern pop song on 'Do Me Now', Alo Wala contributed with their Indian-inspired tropical beats for 'In a Minute' and renowned Portuguese artist Vhils jumps onboard for a visual collaboration on the explosive video for global anthem 'Stoopid'.
This definitely feels like the beginning of a new cycle for a band that started with a clubnight in downtown Lisbon, and matured into the full-blown lifestyle that director Joao Pedro Moreira captured on the 'Off The Beaten Track' documentary. This is the world 'Buraka' lives in and everyone is invited.
'Buraka' is released on 8th September, pre-order on iTunes.
