Beyond The Wizards Sleeve: 'The Soft Bounce' Remixes
Taken from the acclaimed debut LP 'The Soft Bounce', Phantasy is proud to present expansive remixes of two album tracks.
Daniel Avery ramps up the atmosphere with an airy, drifting electronic mantra, pulsing with gliding motorik propulsion perfect for late night escapades.
On the flip side, BTU, an amalgamation of producers Babe Terror and U, take album closer 'Third Mynd' and recast it as a mind opening sixteen minute collage of found sound, drone and atmosphere, a psychedelic opus befitting Jon Savage's otherworldly speech.
Two very distinct trips into the outer reaches of electronic sound.

Fangclub: New Video For 'Loner'
The three piece from North Co. Dublin announce the release of their second single 'Loner', taken from their debut EP 'Bullet Head'. The Weezer inspired track has been described by the band as a reluctant love song, and a great contrast to their sound.
May 13th saw the release of their debut EP, which also featured their critically acclaimed first single & title track 'Bullet Head' - a glorious 2min 3sec blast of guitar noise. As well as capturing the frenetic energy of their live shows, the EP also highlights Fangclub's penchant for pop hooks of Beach Boys-ian proportion. "Pop is not a dirty word," Steven laughs. "One of our ambitions is to have Fangclub screaming out of people's radios at full volume!"
The video for 'Loner', which is also released today, was directed by Irish
director Finn Keenan (The Strypes, Catfish & The Bottlemen, The Kooks).
The performance video takes the mundane, and flips it on its side,
showing the weirder creepier side of things. Director Finn states "I
wanted to see how weird I could go [with the band], to push it as far as
possible, slowly introducing more and more [weird]... it was definitely a
collaborate video, which for me is the best kind."

TC: New Album 'Unleash The Wolves'
Bristol drum & bass veteran TC has just released his long awaited second album via 3Beat, home to Sigma, High Contrast and Stylo G.
11-tracks deep featuring the likes of long-term collaborator Jakes, US MC Armanni Reign, Stylo G and Metrik, 'Unleash The Wolves' sees the Don't Play bossman returning to his dancefloor routes with a collection that's already amassed dubplate support from the likes of Andy C, Sigma, Chase & Status, Metrik and Camo & Krooked and radio play from Annie Mac, Friction and more.
Ranging from the all-out shreds and slaps of the album's title track to the softer, guitar-twanging emotional finale 'Hold On' by way of the Fats-fronted heritage roller 'Quick Jungle' and the recently uploaded Metrik co-lab 'The Light', TC's covered drum & bass's ever-developing range with consistency and the production muscle he's constantly seeking to develop.

Natives: New Video 'Stop The Rain'
There's a lot of negativity and xenophobia in the world at the moment so It feels like the perfect time to share a positive story about mixing with other cultures...
Our love for percussion led us to Morocco, a muslim country where the Arabic East meets sub-Saharan Africa. We instantly fell in love with the rhythm of the place, from the main squares to the mountains, everything had a beat. We met Berbers in Agadir, where drumming circles are a part of everyday social life and were captivated by the way rhythm was used to bring people together and tell stories. This idea, coupled with the welcoming warmth of the culture formed the heart and soul of 'Stop The Rain'.
The people we met couldn't have made us feel more welcome, we were repeatedly invited to play music with locals who were keen to pass on their techniques and knowledge and often invited us into their homes to share stories. It was a life-changing experience for us and completely reinforced our outlook on community, culture and the world.

Matt Berry: New Album 'The Small Hours'
Matt Berry announces the follow up to his critically acclaimed string of records with his latest album, 'The Small Hours' released 16th September on Acid Jazz.
Following on from 'Witchazel' and 'Kill The Wolf' through to 2014's 'Music for Insomniacs' (which saw the musician, writer and celebrated actor explore the effects of sleeplessness through a range of modular equipment), 'The Small Hours' is perhaps Matt's most personal yet, exploring themes of death, religion, loneliness and the changing of the seasons.
The album was recorded live at Rimshot Studio in Kent using a 60 year
old hand built Decca desk as well as at Matt's own studio in South
London.
Like its predecessor, 'The Small Hours' is themed in a transient state
full of mystery and intrigue; Matt says "[the album] refers to the
small hours before dawn when you and me worry about things. It can be an
intensely quiet time and so all your thoughts and fears can be
amplified."
Drawn to the electrified 70's of Miles Davis, 'The Small Hours' sees Berry for the first time use his band live in the studio for the basic tracks, before embellishing / completing the songs himself in his own studio. He's expanded his sonic palette even further than previous albums, with an arsenal including an electrified Rhodes piano, xylophone, bass clarinets, horns and even a waterphone to create his most high-fidelity work yet. Guests musicians on the record include Ben Castle who played sax, bass clarinet, Steve Jourdonas - trumpet and long time collaborator Cecilia Fage on backing vocals.
Matt Berry & The Maypoles will be touring throughout October & November.

The Mission: 30th Anniversary Tour
The Mission announce Pete Murphy and The 69 Eyes as their special guests for their '30th Anniversary' UK shows.
To celebrate their '30th Anniversary', The Mission set out on their most extensive and ambitious tour since they reformed in 2011 and to coincide with the tour they will release a brand new studio album.
The '30th Anniversary' European leg of the tour starts in Dublin on October 1st and includes the Whitby Goth Weekend on November 5th with Pete Murphy playing the October UK shows and The 69 Eyes the November dates.
Wayne Hussey exclaims "It's with absolute honour and delight that I am able to tell you that Peter Murphy has agreed to play these '30th Anniversary' UK shows as very special guest of The Mission in October. Peter's appearance will help make these shows the special events that we always wanted and hoped they'd be. And it'll be great to reacquaint myself with an old friend..."
While The 69 Eyes' singer Jyrki 69 says "I remember the first time seeing the 'Wasteland' video on TV. It hit me hard, I even got the issue of Smash Hits with Wayne on the cover. 'God's Own Medicine' is still one of my favourite albums and without no doubt The 69 Eyes wouldn't sound like we do without The Mission. Can't wait to get back to play in the UK."
With the original members Wayne Hussey, Craig Adams and Simon Hinkler being joined by new drummer Mike Kelly in 2011 and armed by one of the most rabid fan bases in the world The Mission have continued to excite the legions with a slew of successful shows and tours. The Mission has sold in excess of 4 million albums and singles. They have garnered headlines in the worlds music press and not always for the quality and strength of their music.
However, with a new studio album set to be released later this year and this extensive tour The Mission enter their 4th decade in the rudest of health.

Amaroun: New Video 'Fear'
Emerging alt-folk artist Amaroun has announced the forthcoming release of her debut single 'Bed Bugs'. The Northamptonshire singer songwriter's first effort is a powerful introduction to her unique sound, shaped by her distinctive mix of cultures and upbringing that was naturally embedded in the alternative scene from a young age.
Drawing influences from the likes of Beck, Eels and Sharon Van Etten, Amaroun's direction and identify has been very clear from her youth, and an awareness of her sound from a technological and sonic point of view exemplifies the rising star's undoubted ability.
Amaroun's passion for music goes beyond the self; as an artist she spends time working on her collective and annual festival Greenstone in her hometown where she provides a platform for other incredible musicians to showcase their artistic talent.
'Bed Bugs' is an exciting taste of what's to come from Amaroun in 2016, with her new material set to be accompanied by a stream of animated videos that tell a story in abstract fashion, which add a beautiful display of collaboration between animation and music.
