Santigold: New Album '99 Cents'
Santigold has today revealed details about her third studio album '99 Cents', which will be released on January 22nd through Atlantic Records. The first single 'Can't Get Enough of Myself' (feat. B.C.) received its first play on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show last night and is available to purchase now.
'99 Cents' explores the commercial nature of our world and the ways in which we package ourselves and our lives for consumption. Santigold commented - "We have no illusion that we don't live in this world where everything is packaged. People's lives, persona, everything, is deliberate, and mediated. It can be dark and haunting and tricky, and freak us out, but it can be also be silly and fun and we can learn to play with it." She also explores our fascination with perfection and our inherent inability to attain it. The use of playful satire, social critique, and self-examination to explore these themes is reflected in the album's cover art; a collaboration with photographer Haruhiko Kawaguchi, that finds Santigold shrink-wrapped amongst her cluttered possessions ready for the store shelves.

Wild Palms: New Single 'Temper Gold'

At the end of last year the band returned with 'Ennio', a track Noisey fittingly describes as "the sound of passing time and changing personalities."

Beardyman: The Dream Team Sessions
Beardyman and his mind-blowing supergroup of world class musicians and freestyle MCs will make a brand new album live, inspired by the audience's dreamt up song titles.
Improvisation. Telepathy. Imagination. Beat Boxing. One Album. One Hour.
Soundcrash are extremely happy to announce that the prodigiously talented Beardyman will be taking to the stage at Electric Brixton along with a 'dream team' consisting of some of the finest improvisatory talents the world has to offer. This team of extraordinary individuals will be using a mixture of telepathic communication and improvisatory prowess to create a brand new album right in front of the lucky audiences eyes.
Beardyman has made a name for himself for being one of the most multitalented musicians on the face of the planet. One minute he's winning the UK Beatbox competition, twice, next he's winning best MC at Breakspoll, and then he's playing a sold-out run of solo comedy shows at the Edinburgh Fringe. As if he didn't already have enough strings to his beat bow Beardyman outgrew the restrictions of the human mouth and stepped into the world of live looping using his signature Kaoss pads to take his music into the rapturous world of live production. His most recent live setup consists of the Beardytron 5000 a custom built rig that combines multiple ipads and devices loaded with FX and loopers.
In this brand new show Beardyman will be combining his own improvisatory prowess with some of the leading talents in the UK's improvisatory scene. Expect to see him joining forces with some of Soundcrash's favourite artists.
"The show is clever and meandering, it follows the recesses of Foreman's mind to places which are brilliant and unexpected." - Nouse
"The vocal shaman emits and manipulates any conceivable sound with manic wit, that will have you rocking with laughter and shaking your tail feather" - Chortle
"Funny, innovative, surprising and awe inspiring" - Clash

FLESH: New Single & Tour
Following a fine debut year in 2015 with their first UK headline tour, several big support slots with the likes of PEACE, Pretty Vicious, DMA's and Darlia, plus releasing their debut EP, 2016 is set to be another busy one for FLESH.
First up Hazza, Robbie, Cozza and Jon have announced their brand new killer track 'GON N DUN' with the band commenting "we've nailed our sound". A kind of hybrid of grunge, rock, rave and beats somewhere in your face between The Prodigy playing guitars and Nirvana sampling breaks. FLESH will be releasing the track on own record label sNotpop records in February... watch out for a new video to follow soon too!
Live, FLESH's first show of 2016 will be in support of the worthy Independent Venue Week at the Sugarmill in Stoke on Jan 27th with 6Music's Steve Lamacq broadcasting live from the venue too. They'll also be playing one of the prestigious NME Awards shows in February, supporting LA rockers together PANGEA with whom they'll then be touring across the UK in February. The Mission: 30th Anniversary Tour
"30 bloody years! Who would've thought it, eh? As we were well renowned for our, ahem, lifestyle choices, shall we say, I remember Melody Maker ran an office pool betting which member of The Mission would die first. I seem to remember Mick was the favourite with yours truly running a close 2nd. Well, we're still here, alive and well and still going strong. It seems to me that anyone who survives past the age of 50 in this business these days is given honorary legendary status. It's cheaply given, in my opinion, but we'll take it."
"I seriously never thought I'd see this day but 30 years is a remarkable achievement. Not one we could have achieved without the support and patronage of our brilliant audience. This celebration is for them as much as it is for our retirement funds."

The Crookes: Album & European Tour
The Crookes are happy to announce they will return to Europe for a run of dates throughout April and May to celebrate the release of their fourth record 'Lucky Ones' out on 29 January on Anywhere Records (UK/EU) and Modern Outsider (U.S.).
The Sheffield four-piece consists of George Waite (vocals/bass guitar), Daniel Hopewell (lyricist/guitar), Tom Dakin (guitar), and newcomer, Adam Crofts (drums). The dreamers embody the adage that true expression only exists in a world of words said, adventures had, and change embraced.
'Lucky Ones' continues to champion the wanderer, however, the outsider is completely immersed in a world of possibility. Take the innocence of 'Chasing After Ghosts' (2011), the fun of 'Hold Fast' (2012), and the grit of 'Soapbox' (2014), and you have a pop album to accent a brand new start for The Crookes.
The album features first single 'I Wanna Waste My Time On You', and new single 'The World Is Waiting', which is a colourful, rollicking depiction of listless Romance, with a relentless melody from start to finish.

P.I.L.: Announce European & UK Tour
Following on from highly successful 2015 dates in UK, Europe and North America, Public Image Ltd are pleased to announce a further UK / Europe summer tour kicking off in Valencia, Spain on Friday, May 6th. Several of the 2015 dates were sold-out and regarded by many as the best performances the band have ever played.

Last year the band released their 10th studio album 'What The World Needs Now...' which peaked at #29 in the Official UK Album Chart and picked up fantastic acclaim from both press and public. (The album also peaked at #3 in the Official UK Indie Chart and #4 in the Official UK Vinyl Chart. 'What The World Needs Now...' was self-funded by PiL and released on their own label PiL Official.
Widely regarded as one of the most innovative and influential bands of all time, PiL's music and vision earned them 5 UK Top 20 singles and 5 UK Top 20 albums. With a shifting line-up and unique sound, John Lydon guided the band from their debut album 'First Issue' in 1978 through to 1992's 'That What Is Not'. After a 17 year hiatus, Lydon reactivated PiL in 2009 by taking them back on the road worldwide.
John Lydon, Lu Edmonds, Scott Firth and Bruce Smith continue as PiL. They are the longest stable line-up in the band's history.

Darq E Freaker: New Track 'PAR' Feat. Scrufizzer
Pigeons and Planes have premiered 'PAR', the latest track from Darq E Freaker's forthcoming 'Don't Freak Out' mixtape.
'PAR' features British MC Scrufizzer, and comes just a week after 'Spin A Man' with grime legend D Double E. Both beats are raw and menacing creations, and Darq E Freaker explained his interesting approach to creating 'PAR'.
"When working with vocalists, I always try to extend their character into a new sonic landscape. On this track, Scru is rapping with a current dialect of English / Caribbean style ebonics. Placing him atop an American hip-hop type beat, recontextualizes a distinct feature of British culture and makes it Transatlantic."

Kojey Radical: 'Pink', 'Blue' & 'Orange'
Kojey Radical has collaborated with Goldlink for a series of visuals entitled 'Pink', 'Blue' and 'Orange'.
Kojey supplies an expressive narration throughout the three spots, which include illustrations by Melody Hansen. GoldLink explains, "Every man has or will go through these three different relationships. These visuals embody the core of my album, 'And After That, We Didn t Talk.' This is me reflecting on what I guess I learned too late."
The visuals are truly stunning, showcasing a heightened artistic and creative awareness from the Future Bounce artist. Kojey adds, "With this project we really wanted to explore aspects Male and Female interaction using colour as catalyst both visually, audibly and emotionally. I wanted to keep a key focus on male insecurity and highlight the manner in which we as men choose to treat women. Each video seems to resemble a fleeting moment, intensifying the dialogue with every listen. It reflects just how much the little things we say can become so much more potent the more the moments replay in your mind."
