Champs: New Video For The Single 'The Garden Is Overgrown'
Having recently released their new single 'The Garden Is Overgrown' through Play It Again Sam, CHAMPS, aka brothers Michael and David Champion today reveal the video for the track, directed by Wayne McCauslin.
'The Garden Is Overgrown' emerges into the spring sunlight, an exhilarating eruption of guitars and keyboards partnered with Michael on lead vocals cascading almost immediately into a hook laden, engaging chorus. Their return is replete with a fuller sound, no less evocative than previous outings but combined with a new-found confidence sees CHAMPS stride forward with what promises to be an exciting next few months.
Speaking of the video the band explains:
"We had the pleasure of working with Wayne McCauslin on our new video for 'The Garden is Overgrown'. Wayne came up with the idea of us being consumed by a ravenous garden that completely appropriates an entire house before eventually pulling us down into the earths fiery core. Making it was a lot of fun, firstly because we shot it in Berlin, which is always a good time, and secondly because it entailed spending hours in a meandering cocoon of assorted foliage, which is surprisingly warm and quite therapeutic. Something I'll be doing more often."Having appeared at this years The Great Escape Festival last weekend the band head out on a short run of shows as follows before heading back to play their first home town show in over two years at the Ventnor International Festival alongside in August.

Kite Base: New Video & Album Released Today
Kite Base, a two-piece band consisting of bass guitarists Ayse Hassan (Savages) and Kendra Frost, have unveiled the video to 'Miracle Waves', the latest track to be taken from their forthcoming debut album, 'Latent Whispers', which is released tomorrow, Friday May 26th 2017 on Little Something.
Additionally, having recently played a sold-out show at London's Kamio and announced a headline UK tour in June, the band have also confirmed they will be appearing at this year's Glastonbury Festival. They also are set to appear on the Crack Stage at this year's Field Day.

"Obaro Ejimiwe returns with a timely plea for compassion to a soundscape of menace and claustrophobia" - The Sunday Times
Ghostpoet - Obaro Ejimiwe has unveiled the video for latest track 'Immigrant Boogie'. The song, the first to emerge from recent studio sessions is "a first person account of a difficult journey across borders, that asks the listener to question how they would feel in a similar situation."
Directed by Zhang + Knight, the video draws the viewer into a dystopian, post-apocalyptic world, where a lone man laden with personal effects runs from an unknown threat. His belongings are jettisoned as he journeys in a state of increasing despair. The strangely alien landscape and narrative is uncomfortably familiar somehow and strikes a nerve for all those aware of the recent displacement crisis.

The Japanese House: New Video Is Premiered At i-D
The Japanese House has unveiled the video for her new single 'Saw You In A Dream', released 16th June via Dirty Hit.
'Saw You In A Dream' ushers in new, classic tones to her songwriting and is perhaps her most honest offering yet. Amber explains "It's a very clear message: I didn't want to drown my vocals in too many harmonies this time because the melody is quite strong on its own. Rather than to hide your sadness about your loss of someone, it's a nice thing to be like 'I miss them'. That's why the vocals are quite present."
The track itself has a relatively dark subject matter, yet the tone beneath the story brings shades of new light, favouring sun-dappled guitars and bright hues. This is reflected in the video, which is her most visually stunning to date and follows Amber through an ever evolving film set in a series of colourful, dream like sequences.
The release comes in the midst of a huge UK/European tour, which kicked off in April and culminates with her biggest London headline show to date at KOKO. She goes on to headline the VEVO stage at The Great Escape this Thursday and will be playing a host of festivals over the summer, including Latitude, Parklife and Reading & Leeds Festivals.

All The People: New Album 'R Together'
Hailing from South London, All The People are a 3-piece comprising of DJ brothers Ashley & Simon (The Burbs, Hospital Records) and singer Curtis. The band are set to release their debut album 'R Together' due for release 12th May 2017.
'R Together' took the best part of a year to complete and there's a strong sense of place on the record. Having grown up in South London (Ash & Simon were formerly drum & bass DJ'd) they soaked up a huge variety of musical influences from soul, hip hop, jazz, house reggae to the more avant garde & krautrock. The inspiration for their album artwork and imagery harks back to the south coast of Winchester where the two brothers spent whole summers in caravan parks on family holidays.
The band describe the album as, "A deeply personal record dealing with loss in particular, grief, struggling with the emotional fallout, reflecting on the past, our childhoods, whilst trying to avoid nostalgia. Also, the sentiment of 'R-Together' feels more relevant than ever given recent events . We're all living in a time of real uncertainty & division and though the songs are not overtly political, pulling together against a tide of hatred reflects how we're feeling right now."
Taking inspiration from artists ranging from Little Dragon, SBTRKT, Blood Orange & Caribou to classic trip hop /soul acts such as Bonobo and Massive Attack, their unique sound reflects diverse influences from RnB and 90's soul to jazz & early Detroit techno.
Their last three single releases from the album 'Beach Club' & 'Operator' & 'The Hills' have been supported at radio by the likes of Pete Tong, Tom Ravenscroft, Gilles Peterson, Mistajam, Phil Taggart, Goldirocks, Huey Morgan, BBC Introducing & Reprezent.

This is their third single, but they have many other brains and many other guises, so they're led by Jay and Lee, who are also in another band OhBoy!, who were recently in session on the show. They are amazing at writing Weezer-esque type, pop-punk tunes, that are really really catchy, and yet they can also do this, and turn their head to another genre and master it and make it sound effortless."

Archive: New Video & European Tour
Following a highly successful 2016 which saw their tenth studio album 'The False Foundation' released to excellent reviews followed by a massive sold-out tour, Archive have today announced news of the final leg of touring for the album, taking it across Europe throughout November.
The band have also shared a video for the track 'Splinters' from the album.
Speaking about the tour and video Archive founder Darius Keeler says: "We're very excited to announce the final leg of our 'Kings Of The False Foundation' tour; the shows we did around the album release last year we're without doubt some of the best Archive has ever played.
