V V: New Track & Video 'Lazarus'
The video for V V's new track is premiered on Clash Music. New album 'Glitch' is released today.
"Exploring darker, more expansive realms but retaining the pop touch that fired her early career, V V has placed a string of sensational cuts online. 'Lazarus' is sheer deep house production fused with dangerous glamour, the tale of the Biblical man-come-back-to-life told from a feminine perspective"

Frankee: New Single 'Downtown' Feat. Simon Franks
An infamously quick-fire dj, as well as one of the most hotly tipped producers to date, Frankee is returning yet again with a single to further solidify his position.
Whether it's from a set played on the notorious Ibiza waterfront, or amongst a packed out, dimly lit stage in super club Fabric, you'll instantly recognise these refined cuts premiered over the last six months. Detonating a hard lined crowd at Drum & Bass Arena's Easter weekend, 'Power' and 'Downtown' are of two totally different flavours, yet still pull raw energy and emotion from dancefloors globally.
Featuring the vocal talents of Simon Franks, 'Downtown' demonstrates an ability to tap into a hugely diverse range of capacities. Fading between carefully textured breaks, as well as a cleverly distorted bass, it spans a hugely intricate composition. Fluctuating note patterns perfectly underpin slowly elevated synths; cutting open and laying bear the producer's depth. Working his more emotive soundscape 'Downtown' epitomises Frankee's versatility and his multidimensional approach to music making.
On the flipside, a much darker standard is set. Winding up before clanking into a maze of snapping hi-hats, reverberating bass and barrages of driving drum loops 'Power' demonstrates the harder style of his production, as seen in previous tracks like 'Snarl' and 'Excalibur'.
Brooding, gritty and a perfect 4am grinder, the delivery of this next single presents two opposing tracks that help to exemplify Frankee's vast discography.- Contact

Pumarosa: Debut Single 'Priestess'
Pumarosa have premiered striking debut track 'Priestess', which is available now via Chess Club / Mom + Pop (US). Having received its first play on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show, the London band will support Gengahr on tour in October (including a date at Scala) and will announce further live plans shortly.
With production from Mercury-nominated Dan Carey (Kate Tempest, Bat For Lashes, Toy), 'Priestess' is a bold and bewitching introduction to Pumarosa. Building in momentum and atmospheric textures across 7 and half minutes, the track is neatly categorized by the band as "industrial spiritual". Musically, too, 'Priestess' assimilates a strange mix of sounds, simultaneously drawn to the brooding, heavier songwriting of PJ Harvey or Patti Smith together with the groove-led and nocturnal electronics of The Knife and Cocteau Twins.

Cold Specks: 'Neuroplasticity' A Short Film
Cold Specks has collaborated on a new short film, 'Neuroplasticity', with award-winning Canadian born, Los Angeles raised director Alex Takacs, best known by his moniker Young Replicant.
Takacs, who has previously worked with Flying Lotus, The XX, Lorde, M83 & Bonobo, directed the film which features 'Living Signs', 'Old Knives' and 'Let Loose The Dogs' from Cold Specks latest album, 'Neuroplasticity'.
The film follows the troubled neighbour of a teenage girl, missing from her small surburban community.
Cold Specks, aka Ladan Hussein, explains the video: "I am a big fan of Flying Lotus and was taken aback by the video for 'Coronus, The Terminator', directed by Young Replicant. We got in touch with him and were lucky to find out he was already a fan of the project. We didn't want to make another typical music video, so we set out to create something that would stand on its own as a piece of art."
Alex Takacs adds, "I left half the script unfinished until after we had found our location and had done some of the casting. It was important for me to make sure the video had a very specific sense of place, a unique energy inspired by the setting as much as the music itself."
The band's worldwide tour continues through Canada and Australia in September

Louisahhh!!!: 'Shadow Work' EP
Bromance Records are pleased to introduce Louisahhh!!!'s new EP: 'Shadow Work', out September 18th.
"'Shadow Work' is a term used in Jungian psychology to describe 'sub personalities', or the darkest parts of ourselves, that get pushed beneath the surface, into the subconscious, as a coping mechanism. The tracks of the 'Shadow Work' EP are about exposing and integrating these parts; healing the shadow, letting the darkness be a source of power.
Unrequited longing and desire, transformation, the frustration of trying and failing; these themes are all explored musically and lyrically within the five tracks. It is deeper, braver, more intimate work than I have ever done before and I am incredibly grateful to be a vessel for it." - Louisahhh!!!- Contact

Calyx & TeeBee: New Video For 'Where We Go'
"We love this video - we had been sent a load of pitches for the project and Dave Kennedy's proposal stood out. The filming and editing is superb whilst the touches of animation steal the show and really help make it a stand-out video. The filming sessions were great fun and blissfully easy for us as we only needed to be on camera for a few seconds. Doctor had to put some big hours in though - and more than enough costume changes!"
For us, credit goes to Jim at Ram Records for getting us in touch with Doctor - he heard the instrumental version of 'Where We Go' and suggested Doctor featured on the tune. Within a week we had his amazing vocal recorded and delivered - it was a dream to have a vocal feature that exceeded our hopes and expectations - Doctor SMASHED it!"

Cattle & Cane: New Video 'Skies'
As heard on 6 Music, Radio 2, Radio 1, Amazing Radio and Channel 4's Sunday Brunch, Cattle & Cane have been heavily championed by the BBC Introducing team and performed at T In The Park and BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park before they'd even released their debut single 'I Will Rise' - which has now had over a million streams online. With numerous sold out regional dates already under their belts, 'Skies' looks set to show the rest of the country what those in the band's native North East already know.
Their debut album 'Home' is released on Friday 18th September 2015 via Quiet Crown Recordings and showcases the band's abilities to meld soaring choruses and delicate melodies, to everyman lyrics that swerve cliché to create a sense of community and shared experience.
It may have been five years in the making, but the evidence of 'Home' suggests every single day was worth it. Not just for us as listeners but also for the band, with Cattle & Cane's ubiquity in the North East set to spread across the UK.
Consisting of siblings Joe, Helen, Fran and Vin Hammill, with Tom Chapman on percussion, Cattle & Cane are capable of shifting even the hardest of hearts with their perfect, soaring harmonies.

Pittsburgh Track Authority: 'Your Situation' EP
Since first pricking our collective consciousness back in 2011, Adam Ratana, Preslav Lefterov and Thomas Cox's Pittsburgh Track Authority project has gone from strength to strength. Following a wealth of releases on Further Records, Argot, Rotating Souls and their own Pittsburgh Tracks imprint, they've been snapped up by Jimpster's Freerange Records. This label debut features a trio of tasty treats.
Opener 'Your Situation' is a breezy delight, with classic sounding synthesized strings and bubbling electronic riffs smothering a snappy groove. 'RT28' is a deeper and groovier, Jus-Ed influenced affair that features some brilliantly spacey synth solos, while 'Gold Trim' is a surprisingly live-sounding fusion of loose, organic drums, cascading flute solos and smooth boogie bass.

The Libertines have announced a series of UK dates, beginning next Monday and leading up to the release of their new album 'Anthems For Doomed Youth' on Friday 11th September.
"Ahead of the record coming out on 11th September we wanted to plot and confirm a small run of dates as an extension of 'Somewhere Over The Railings'.
