WWWater: Debut EP 'La Falaise'
"Humbling power, sacred shower."
The lyric from 'WWWater' describe it best - sometimes soothing and sometimes boiling, everything is waves with WWWater. WWWater flows through Charlotte Adigery, a Soulwax protegee (she contributed to various songs on their 'Belgica' soundtrack and released an EP on their DEEWEE label last March that now also embarks on a solo journey with a different sound. Her debut EP 'La Falaise' refers to 'Les Gorges De La Falaise', the waterfall in Martinique (her mother's birth country and Charlotte's second home) where she wrote most of the songs for this debut release.'La Falaise' dips the listener in a trip in her unique universe - a diverse pallet of sounds that is built from meditative drones to Youtube samples to panned drums to what-not, with Charlotte's unique voice serving as a narrator throughout the EP. When asked about her influences she'll name anyone from Lizzy Mercier Descloux to Dean Blunt to The Slits to Shabazz Palaces - an eclectic taste that results in an outspoken sound, despite this being her first release.
Charlotte draws you in with the meditative 'Presence', a spoken word intro that puts her and the listener in a state of mind where she cancels out the always ongoing train of thoughts. 'WWWater' describes the experience of a woman surrendering herself to the water, becoming one with it. It insinuates suicide, becoming one with an element that is very much part of (everything is water) yet can easily destroy us in a different capacity. The sub-text is very much a (desperate) love story, or rather how it can sometimes result in a cold shower. Charlotte literally reads from her diary in 'Pink Letters', marking the start of a new chapter after a love story gone wrong and allowing herself to be guided by the imaginary hand that always makes sure "everything will be okay". 'My Hands' is built around a sample from an ASMR session - short for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, a rare syndrome where people are highly sensitive to audiovisual experiences like ear eating, a hair dryer other delicate sounds which results into some sort of "braingasm" - which is being contrasted with an energetic vocal and drum performance.
The song is about hurting someone else with your hands and begging for them to be taken away so it's no longer possible to create such pain. Despite sounding positive on 'Mine Yours' the story is yet again quite grim: desperately trying to create a new and better life, two lovers grow apart because they just try to hard.www.facebook.com/wwwatersounds

Dave Clarke: Shares New Track 'I'm Not Afraid'
With the first single already receiving support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and club plays from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Len Faki, Nicole Moudeber, Marcel Dettmann etc.
Techno and electronic music aficionado Dave Clarke releases the second single from this new album 'I'm Not Afraid', featuring the sublime vocals of Anika.
With a love of punk and time spent as a political journalist, former Beak collaborator Anika is the perfect match for Clarke. The resulting track features a devastating bass guitar riff supplied by Keith Tenniswood (Radioactive Man) matched with Anika's assured vocals and poignant lyrics.
After a 14 year hiatus, this will be the second release from Clarke's eagerly awaited third album 'The Desecration Of Desire' which epitomises what Dave Clarke sounds like and speaks about, in 2017.
Says Clarke: "I bought Anika's album from Get Records in Amsterdam when it came out, 'Masters of War' was the track for me and I have always thought about working together on a bass heavy track and her lyrics here are sublime and political". Clarke is famously opinionated and outspoken and his music has always been just as singular and standout.
Whether remixing Depeche Mode, Placebo or Amazing Snakeheads, serving up his legendary White Noise Radio shows or impressing with his DJ'ing dexterity at the world's finest clubs and festivals, when Dave Clarke speaks, everybody listens.Previewed in Loud and Quiet.

The Horrors: New Video For 'Something To Remember Me By'
The Horrors have revealed a striking yet strange new video for 'Something to Remember Me By'.
Director Max Weiland said: "this video is a comment on society's obsession with celebrity and the music industry's attempt to take advantage of that. A strange corporation harvests The Horrors for their real blood, sweat, tears and more, turning their bodily fluids into consumer products ready for the mass market."The track is taken from The Horrors' critically acclaimed fifth album 'V', out on Wolf Tone / Caroline International.
'Something to Remember Me By' was hailed as the band's best work to date, with The Guardian saying it is "possibly their best song yet" and DIY Magazine declaring it "unstoppably euphoric, it's maybe the best thing The Horrors have ever written".

Dillinja: Unreleased Tracks On Deep Jungle
Two more previously unreleased gems from Dillinja's esteemed back catalogue have finally seen the light of day with an official vinyl and digital release on Deep Jungle Records.
The A side 'Another Dimension', originally from 1994, shows us Dillinja's softer melodic side on the intro, before unleashing the Reese danger on the drop. This moody roller is perfect for those of you who have been craving some more of his 94 era productions, that really takes you on a journey straight back to that time...
The AA side features the 1995 dance floor killa 'Humanity'. This one's been making it's way around the dance floors on a select few dubplates for some time now, about 22 years to be precise. Finally unleashed from the vault for all the heads out there.

Alvvays: New Video For 'Dreams Tonite'
'Antisocialites' is the superb new album from Alvvays. Released last Friday by Transgressive Records, 'Antisocialites' has already received incredible acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic. Today the band have shared the new video for BBC Radio 6 Music A-listed single 'Dreams Tonite'. The striking visuals see the band transported into archive footage of Montreal's Expo '67.
Of the video, the band say, "Canada was at its coolest 50 years ago in Montreal at Expo '67. The National Film Board caught a young country at its most iconic on sweet saturated 16mm. We fetishize retro-futurism and are thrilled our buddy Matt Johnson was able to facilitate our half-century temporal trip back to peak pop and op. And this video introduces our new drummer, so please meet Sheridan."
Director Matt Johnson says, "The first thing I thought when Alvvays played 'Dreams Tonite' for me in their studio (which is packed wall to wall with gear built before they were born) was that this music is from another time. It sounds like a rediscovered classic that was way ahead of its time, so the video had to be about time travel."
"I got addicted to 60's film aesthetics making my last movie and this was the perfect excuse to revisit that world. The footage shot by the National Film Board during Expo67 is an unknown masterpiece of Canadian cinema - of course we had to hide Alvvays in it. By using the same cameras and film as the Nfb in '67 we found a way to put Molly and company on stage at the biggest festival our country has ever seen. See if you can find them all!"
Alvvays celebrated the release of their new album with a sold-out gig at London's KOKO. In a review of the show, the Evening Standard said: "dream-pop may have found its new flag bearers". The band are currently touring Europe, then will embark on a run of North American dates.
'Antisocialites' is out now via Transgressive Records. The video is premiered in Pitchfork.
