Laurel: Releases Two New Singles
Rising UK star Laurel has today released two new singles 'Crave' and 'Same Mistakes', both taken from her incredible debut album 'Dogviolet', out August 24th on Counter Records. These two new tracks follow lead single 'Lovesick' and further showcase the sublime vocals and raw guitars of the evocative and effortless 12 track LP.
The two new singles reveal the stylistic range of 'Dogviolet', with the gritty, driving blues of 'Same Mistakes' in contrast to the cinematic and soaring 'Crave'. First single 'Lovesick' set the tone for the album, with open, sparse production revealing Laurel's effortlessly emotive voice and the vintage warmth of her guitar playing. Other album highlights include spellbinding live favourite 'Life Worth Living', the infectiously wounded 'Adored', spikey punk pop hit 'Same Mistakes' and bitingly intense track 'Sun King' showcasing Laurel's mesmerising and intense vocals, seeing her singing "What is life, but a dream".
Recorded without glossing over the imperfections and driven by her personal lyrics and stirring melodies, every track on the album was written and recorded in Laurel's home studio in East London. It was then taken to Gizzard Studios to be fed back through a reel-to-reel tape recorder, re-capturing the organic tone that is prevalent within her breathtaking live shows.
Titled after the flower, 'Dogviolet' is a deeply personal exploration of the bittersweet feeling of love. Laurel says "I wrote these songs at home often locking myself away for periods of time in order to capture the true mania that comes from love; although a beautiful feeling, it can often feel a lot uglier."
Already receiving support from Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens, Phil Taggart, Apple Music, Spotify, The Guardian, Wonderland and I-D Magazine, as well as partnerships with Burberry, Ellesse, Levis and Vans, 'Dogviolet' follows Laurel's incredible 'Park' EP and her captivating Spotify Live EP, released in 2017.
Following a huge 2017, including a UK and European tour with Oh Wonder, two sold-out UK headline tours, and appearances at The Secret Garden Party, Live At Leeds, Outlines Festival and Golden Leaves Festival, Laurel heads out on a UK and European tour this autumn.

Art School Girlfriend: New Video 'Moon'
Art School Girlfriend - the most recent signing to Paul Epworth's record label, Wolf Tone (The Horrors, Glass Animals) - shares her new video for 'Moon', the follow up track from her intoxicating debut EP 'Measures'.
Welcome to The Moonlight Working Women's Club - the new atmospheric visual which perfectly complements her most recent haunting track. The video is directed by Luke Tierney and follows Art School Girlfriend disrupting the all-female cast in a stark nighttime setting.
Speaking on the video Art School Girlfriend said:
"At night, it feels like you can express yourself and interact with people in a way that daytime doesn't allow, or if you avoid the light, you can simply move through the world unseen. I wanted the video to explore this whilst also subverting gender norms by creating The Moonlight Working Women's Club."Originally from North Wales, she decamped to London for five years where she fronted a shoegaze band before settling in Margate, Kent. Opting for the new moniker Art School Girlfriend, her self-produced tracks explore themes of queer identity, lust and disillusionment. Having released critically acclaimed debut EP 'Measures' earlier this year, 'Moon' is a taste of what's to come taken of her second EP due for release later this summer.
Having recently played at The Great Escape and BBC Radio 1's Big Weekender, Art School Girlfriend has confirmed a series of live dates across the UK - outlined below.
Armed with beautifully crafted songs and an enigmatic stage presence 2018 looks set to be Art School Girlfriend's breakout year.

Catfish And The Bottlemen: At SSE Arena Wembley
Leapfrogging a spectacular summer of international festival appearances and looking to warm up their still-growing legion of fans this winter, an energised Catfish and The Bottlemen announce their return to The SSE Arena, Wembley on Friday 2 November 2018.
Two years on from their last, critically-acclaimed, sell-out appearance at Wembley in late 2016, the band return to a place that became symbolic of the band's unassailable rise from well-kept secret to vehemently adored arena-fillers. Having sold out their forthcoming Cardiff Castle date within 24 hours and incendiary festival appearances fuelling their momentum, their return to the capital is announced amid obvious and ever growing demand.
Contributing a sense of unapologetic ambition to British guitar music and teasing the promise of new material to follow their 2016, gold-status album, 'The Ride', the band is led onto ever bigger stages in the US, Spain, France and on home soil throughout summer 2018 by venerated frontman and songwriter, Van McCann, with Johnny Bond (lead guitar), Benji Blakeway (bass) and Bob Hall (drums).
Catfish and The Bottlemen admit to being happily of "no fixed abode" due to near constant touring and recording since 2014, when now platinum-certified debut album 'The Balcony' surfaced. From within any audience from Manchester to Melbourne, critics and peers have been engulfed by the swell of eager sentiment propelled by a vociferous fan base.

G Flip: New Single & Video For 'Killing My Time'
Following an absolutely belting trip to the UK and Europe, singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist G Flip today releases the video for her second single 'Killing My Time'. After a sold out Australian tour, a string of UK summer dates and a Pale Waves support slot, G Flip has announced a UK and European autumn tour, including a night at London's iconic The Garage. See her artist page for details.

Anna Calvi: New Single 'Don't Beat The Girl Out Of My Boy'
Anna Calvi shares a video for the album's first single, 'Don't Beat The Girl Out Of My Boy'. A battle cry with a rousing chorus, the song was partly written while thinking about how young children are when they're conditioned to follow gender roles - in particular, the "heartbreaking" process through which small boys are taught not to cry or show emotions. Speaking about the track, Anna said the following: "It's a song about the defiance of happiness. It's about being free to identify yourself in whichever way you please, without any restraints from society."
Directed by rising star and recent Kendrick Lamar collaborator, William Kennedy, and choreographed by Aaron Sillis (FKA Twigs).
