Ghostpoet: New Single 'Immigrant Boogie' & UK Tour
'Immigrant Boogie' marks the first new material from Ghostpoet since the release of his third and much lauded, Mercury-nominated 'Shedding Skin' album in 2015. The track also heralds news of a full UK / Irish tour in the Autumn - see artist page for full itinerary.
Swathed in post-punk virtuosity, 'Immigrant Boogie' is a narrative only too pertinent in 2017.
Ghostpoet aka Obaro Ejimiwe explains:"It's a first person account of a difficult journey across borders, partly intended to ask those who have questioned the arrival of refugees in recent times what they would do in the same situation.
The song is written in two halves - the first hopeful for a brighter future, while the second sees hope snatched away by forces beyond the control of the storyteller.
There is an important story to be told there, but I wrote the song in a way that aims to capture a broader human truth: that while we are all working for a better life for ourselves, we have to accept that we are not in control of the outcome"
This is the first track to emerge from various sessions recorded over the past few months in Obaro's hometown London.
Featuring Charlie Steen, drafted in from South London's up and comers Shame on guest vocals and assisted by Leo Abrahams (Wild Beasts, Frightened Rabbit) on guitar and production duties, 'Immigrant Boogie' marks a stunning return.
Ghostpoet has produced three critically acclaimed albums in his career thus far, of which two were Mercury nominated. All three projects have received widespread recognition from critics and playlists alike.
'Immigrant Boogie' is yet another addition to an increasingly versatile catalogue and testament to an artist who always strives to stimulate and provoke.
Since his most recent offering 'Shedding Skin', Obaro has been busy performing live and writing. Noteworthy appearances include a memorable set at BST in Hyde Park, as well as a collaboration with Massive Attack on the track 'Come Near Me'.

alt-J: New Short Film, Single & Album
alt-J today debut the video for '3WW' the opening track from their forthcoming third album 'RELAXER', which will now be released on 2 June in heavyweight vinyl, CD, cassette and digital formats. The record is the follow up to their number one, GRAMMY and BRIT Award-nominated album 'This Is All Yours', and also features current single 'In Cold Blood'. It was recorded all over London - from Shoreditch to St John's Wood, Crouch Hill to Brixton - with producer Charlie Andrew.
The short film for '3WW' is directed by Young Replicant (AKA Alex Takacs), who has previously made videos for Flying Lotus, Lorde and The xx, and is described by alt-J's Gus Unger-Hamilton as "a beautifully shot story of love and loss in the mountains of Mexico".
alt-J also today launch a new interactive website based upon the cult 90s PlayStation game 'LSD Dream Emulator' that inspired the graphic design of the new record.
alt-J are one of the most successful British bands of the millennium. 'RELAXER' follows 2014's 'This Is All Yours', and their 2012 Mercury Prize and Ivor Novello Award-winning debut 'An Awesome Wave'.
Between them, the two records have sold in excess of two million copies and their songs have been streamed more than one billion times. The band - Joe Newman, Gus Unger-Hamilton and Thom Green - have headlined festivals across the globe and sold out London's O2 Arena and New York's legendary Madison Square Garden on their last tour. Earlier this month they announced a return to the O2 Arena for a special show on 16 June as part of the venue's 10th birthday celebrations; limited tickets for the show are still available. A number of festival shows are also confirmed for the summer, including Glastonbury Festival, with still more to be announced.
The band today announce a tour of North America for the fall.- Contact

Pale Waves: New Single, Video & North American Tour
Pale Waves have unveiled the video for their debut single 'There's a Honey', set for release on April 21st. Heather said of the song and video "There's A Honey is a song about a failed relationship, the sense of desperation, contrasting feelings and insecurities. For the first Pale Waves video we wanted to create something that was minimal and beautiful. Drawing inspiration from American sculptor Daniel Wurtzel, romantic yet evoking a feeling of claustrophobia."
The Manchester four-piece are the latest signing to Dirty Hit and have recently played sold out shows across the UK on the inaugural Dirty Hit tour. This month will see the band head out as special guests on The 1975's North American tour.

"Next, well this is new music championed by BBC Introducing, from Northampton, Ginger Snaps with 'Number Crunching'... Ginger Snaps on Radio 1 and 'Number Crunching' coming out on the Killing Moon label. We really like the sound of that and Lee's been playing gigs recently. I don't think there's any forthcomings as far as we can see but yeah, it's the side project of Oh Boy who we like a lot too."

CHAMPS: New Track & UK Tour
CHAMPS, aka brothers Michael and David Champion mark their return with news of a brand new track 'The Garden Is Overgrown' and details of a short run of UK live shows in May.
Having garnered approval with 2015's 'VAMALA' and following their first headline UK tour later the same year the brothers have spent the interim writing, demoing and fine tuning their new live set-up. Fragile melancholia coupled with a pop nous provided the foundations for an undeniably personal album that spawned several singles, picking up plenty of air play and clocking up in excess of over six million Spotify plays marking them out as ones to watch.
The past year has seen the pair commuting between their home on the Isle of Wight and London whilst also venturing across S.E Asia combining their love of travelling and surfing. Work on the follow up to 'VAMALA' begins in earnest and 'The Garden Is Overgrown', produced by Sean Oakley (Rick Rubin's go-to engineer) is the introduction to the next chapter.
'The Garden Is Overgrown' emerges into the spring sunlight, an exhilarating eruption of guitars and keyboards partnered with Michael on lead vocals cascading almost immediately into a hook laden, engaging chorus. Their return is replete with a fuller sound, no less evocative than previous outings but combined with a new found confidence sees CHAMPS stride forward with what promises to be an exciting next few months.
As they explain; "the heart of the song is about youth and all that growing up entails - through the passage of time, relationships and priorities ebb and flow along with flux and excitement and at times, the insecurities and disenchantment that one feels as life's path is negotiated."
"the love is eclectic, the best I've seen..."

Noisia: 'Outer Edges Remixes' Album Out Today

With this remix package we asked a lot of different artists to take that material beyond our edges, into their respective domains. We are really happy that they managed to take our music into completely different dimensions, with such exciting results!" - Noisia
